Wizard of Oz

This weekend my drama classes performed the play, The Wizard of Oz. It went amazing, according to my parents and other family memebers. I have never been in drama, and it was really fun to act on stage in front of a crowd. Although I did not have a huge part, it was still a really good experiance. At the start of the week, it seemed like the play was going to be a disaster. As practice ended on wednesday I mentioned to my dad, " This play is going to be horrible dad...". He simply replied, " Don't worry you'll be super surprised as to how the play will just come together." At first I didn't believe him, but in the end he was right. After the final show was done and I walked into the foyer area of the highschool everyone came and hugged me. That was one of the best feelings ever, just being praised by everyone and feeling happy. For one long week, it payed off to produce a great play!

Homework

Lately teachers have been giving so much homework, which I really do not like. Teachers don't understand that we actually have lives and we play sports and do other out of school activites. I know that last week was super hectic with the play, and every night I was up until at least 10 every night doing homework. Then the nexts days I was super tired and was having trouble focussing in class. Teachers seriously need to stop giving so much homework! Also its towards the end of the year, meaning all of us are starting to get ready for summer. Plus the weather is getting really nice, and teens don't want to sit inside doing homework. Overall teachers need to consider that students have lives and other things to do besides homework.
